Beck Replaces O'Reilly in Denver

Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck replaced Bill O'Reilly in the noon to 3 PM time slot in Denver on KHOW radio. Other stations in the area were given two months to pick up «The Radio Factor with Bill O'Reilly», but facing declining ratings for O'Reilly they passed. Just one more problem for Bill O'Reilly who last week was in hot water for suggesting that it was okay to let terrorists bomb San Francisco.

Because of contract considerations with Westwood One, O'Reilly's syndicator, his show couldn't be dropped until it was determined another local station didn't want the two hours.

As of now, O'Reilly doesn't have a Denver radio home.

Latest top host figures

Talkers Magazine issued its Fall list of the top talk radio audiences. Rush Limbaugh led the list with 13.75 million listeners, Sean Hannity was second with 12.5 million and Michael Savage was third with 8 million. Dr. Laura Schlessinger and Howard Stern shared the fourth spot (I'm sure she's thrilled) just behind Savage with 7.75 million listeners.

Not all of the top 33 spots were political hosts or shock jocks. George Noory, Art Bell's successor at Coast to Coast AM, had 2.75 million putting him in a 4-way tie for 8th. Digital Goddess Kim Komando shared the number 9 spot at 2.25 million and Bob Brinker of MoneyTalk was in number 11 with 1.75 million.

Glenn Beck Christmas Tour Opens in St. Louis

Talk radio host Glenn Beck will open his second annual «Christmas Tour» with a performance at the Touhill Performing Arts Center at University of Missouri-St. Louis, November 29 at 7:30 PM. That first performance is already sold out, but he'll also be in Worcester, Massachusetts Dec.1; Syracuse, New York, Dec. 2; New Haven, Connecticut, Dec. 3; and 5 other cities later in December.

Glenn Beck’s Christmas Tour is back by popular demand. Last year Glenn performed in 8 theatres and each event sold out. This year, Glenn will travel to 9 new cities and there is no question that tickets will go quickly.

Why???

Because Glenn captures the spirit of Christmas in this one man stage performance. He’ll make you laugh, he’ll make you cry and he’ll also make you realize what a special holiday Christmas is. If you wanted to see the show last year, but it was too far away, here’s hoping that one of this year’s shows is in an area near you.

Host Fired for Anti-Jihadist Remarks Lands New Job in Boston

Michael Graham, the Washington, D.C. talk host fired by ABC Radio after refusing to apologize on air for comments he made regarding radical Islamists has a new job doing afternoon drive time at Boston's WTKK-FM. The Council on Islamic Relations had labeled his remarks on Islamic terrorism, including the 9/11 attacks, as «hate speech» and asked ABC for the apology. Graham refused and instead criticized CAIR as a group that «never condemned Hamas or Hezbollah, and one that wouldn't specifically condemn al Qaeda for three months after 9/11.»

«Michael is a compelling communicator with a keen intellect who has his finger on the pulse of the local and national political scene. I believe he will be a welcome addition to the Boston community,» said Greater Media President and CEO Peter Smyth.

Greater Media/Boston Vice President and General Manager Matt Mills added that «Michael has an edge to him that is going to captivate the Boston community like no one else.»
